Hold up! Before we dive headfirst into this ‘Statement of Being’ thing, let’s take a breath and bask in the sheer absurdity of it all. You and me, existing in this moment – it’s absolutely nothing short of “A Miracle!”.
Think about this: they say the odds of us being here are slimmer than winning the lottery a million times over. Seriously, the universe had to pull off some cosmic magic trick, a series of events so improbable it makes your head spin.
Forget about planets and chemicals – it’s the sheer randomness of it all!
Can you imagine rolling a trillion dice and somehow getting the exact combination that led to you and me.
But here we are, aware, conscious, experiencing this wild ride. Isn’t that something? Maybe there’s no grand purpose, but the fact that we’re here at all, well, that’s pretty cool.
Just think about it: 117 billion humans have walked this Earth before us!

That’s a mind-boggling number. And that’s just us – Homo sapiens, the ‘wise’ ones.
What about all our evolutionary cousins? Neanderthals, Denisovans, and all the other branches on our family tree?
The sheer volume of life that has come before is truly humbling.
“cogito, ergo sum” I think, therefore, I am!
-René Descartes
Billions of years in the making!
Our planet, a cosmic masterpiece. And we, Homo sapiens, have been at this whole ‘being human’ thing for at least 300,000 years. Imagine the countless lives that have come before us – unique individuals, each with their own epic story. Generations upon generations, all connected by this shared experience called life, eating, sleeping, laughing, crying, and everything in between. You and I? Just two tiny threads in that vast tapestry of humanity.
Where did it all begin? And where does it end? Honestly, it’s mind-boggling! Scientists have theories, but the truth is, we’re still scratching the surface.
Right now, there are over 7.8 billion of us sharing this pale blue dot. Try to wrap your head around that! It would take over 750 years to count to 7.8 billion. Imagine someone starting that count back in the 1270s – they’d finally be nearing the end today!
We all share this incredible planet, this vibrant oasis in the vast emptiness of space. And despite our differences, we share common ground: the desire for a just and peaceful world, for fresh air and clean water, for happy and healthy children.
And here we are, connected across time and space! You’re reading this in my ‘future,’ while I’m typing it in your ‘past.’ Technology, a testament to human ingenuity, has bridged that gap. It’s a reflection of our collective progress, a reminder of how far we’ve come.
But why? Why are we here? What’s the meaning of it all? Now that’s the real question, isn’t it?
WHY ARE WE HERE?
Now, here’s the million-dollar question: why are we here? If we could poll every single one of the 7.8 billion people on Earth, we’d get a symphony of answers, each one beautiful and true in its own way.

Our beliefs and perspectives are shaped by our unique journeys, our experiences, our very essence.
It’s the ultimate cosmic riddle, the Great Mystery of existence. And honestly? I don’t think there’s a single, definitive answer. So, let’s shift gears. Let’s tackle a question that might be a bit more manageable.
HOW ARE WE DOING?

You might be surprised to hear this, but I actually think we’re doing… okay.
I can hear you now: ‘Whaaat? Scott, how can you say that? Are you blind to the injustices and atrocities happening all around us? Don’t you watch the news?’
Well, to be honest, I don’t watch the news much. It tends to leave me feeling overwhelmed and powerless. And yes, I know, the world can feel like a pretty grim place right now.
It’s frustrating, isn’t it? After all the progress, all the brilliant minds and the tireless efforts of generations of good people, we’re still grappling with the same old problems, and new ones seem to pop up every day. It’s enough to make you want to bury your head in the sand.

Hear me out on this:
I think, on the whole, humanity is doing okay.
In this moment now, as you read this, the desire and drive to create a world that is more balanced than ever before… that’s that sign.
We can do better because we want to!
BIG PICTURE!
We’ve only been around for a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of Earth’s history. Our individual experiences, like grains of sand on a vast beach, are just a tiny part of the bigger picture.
Let’s be honest, this planet wasn’t exactly a total paradise when we arrived. We inherited a world with its own set of challenges and complexities. We had to learn how to survive, how to thrive, through trial and error, through the accumulation of knowledge and experience.
Sure, we’ve made some serious mistakes along the way. But let’s not forget that the current state of the world is a result of a long and complex history, not solely our doing.
We’ve never had the full picture, always piecing together incomplete stories, making decisions based on limited information and resources. And let’s face it, our influence is mostly limited to our immediate surroundings and the people in our lives.
Imagine a world without reading or writing, without the understanding of science. Seems wild, right? Yet, here we are, a testament to the resilience and ingenuity of those who came before us.
A big shout-out to our ancestors! Thank you for paving the way, even if some of your choices were questionable. On the whole, we owe you a debt of gratitude.
We stand on the shoulders of giants – our ancestors, each with their own triumphs and failures, their good choices and regrettable missteps. Every one of them, from the first beings to share an idea to the teachers of our teachers, is just a single grain of sand in the vast tapestry of humanity.
Each generation picks up the baton, adding their own unique experiences to the collective story. We are all interconnected, a living chain of experiences stretching back to the dawn of humanity.

We’re all just trying to make sense of it all, to live the best lives we can, one day at a time.

I truly believe that we, and all those who came before us, have done the best we could with the information and resources available.
Let’s call them ‘missed steps’ instead of ‘mistakes.’
The word ‘mistake’ implies failure, but we were all just figuring things out as we went along. We didn’t have all the answers, and even when we thought we did, things rarely went according to plan.
Now, though, it’s time to take a hard look at how we got here and consider how we can shape a different future.
By analyzing our past, understanding the choices that led us to this point, we can start to see a pattern emerging. This pattern can help us predict where we might be headed next.
So, what do you think? Do you like the direction we seem to be heading?
CAN WE DO BETTER?
The question then becomes, ‘Can we do better?’ And the answer? A resounding yes! But how? Where do we even begin?
It starts with introspection. Are you happy with the choices you’ve made? What changes would you like to see in your own life? Then, we expand our focus to our immediate community. What can you do to make a positive impact on the lives of those around you? And then, we take it to the next level..
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT THE WORLD….
For me, the answer is clear: I want to help others create the lives and communities of their dreams.
I believe we all share the same fundamental desires: a just, free, and secure world. By inspiring, encouraging, and empowering others to pursue their passions, we all rise together. As the saying goes, ‘A rising tide lifts all ships!’

With ECS, I aim to create a vibrant hub, a platform that celebrates and supports those who dare to dream big and take action. You’re not alone in this journey. Millions of us are out there, yearning to connect and collaborate on incredible projects. ECS is the bridge that connects us, but more on that in a moment…
I keep circling back to this for a reason. I want you to really think about it, to let the idea simmer in your mind. When we articulate our intentions, something magical happens within us. The more we ponder and share these ideas, the stronger they become.
This newfound clarity breeds confidence. We begin to believe that maybe, just maybe, we can actually make a difference!

Let’s get back to that burning question: If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
I’d love to hear your ideas! If you have a vision for a better world, please share it with us through the ECS Message Board (Forums) page. I’ll do my best to respond with some thought-provoking questions, not to challenge you, but to help you delve deeper into your idea and unlock even more powerful connections within your own mind.
I’m not suggesting that simply writing down an idea will magically make it a reality. Think of it more like activating a portal. The more energy you pour into that idea – through thought, discussion, and action – the stronger that portal becomes, drawing your vision closer to reality. This is the essence of ‘speaking things into existence.’
Have you noticed how the more you think about something, the more it seems to manifest in your life? That’s the power of intention!
Even if it feels impossible, even if you feel unqualified, even if you don’t know where to begin, the moment you articulate your vision, the process of creation has begun.
Now imagine if everyone reading this chose one thing they wanted to change in the world. With billions of minds focused on positive change, the potential for real transformation is immense.
This is the driving force behind ECS. I created this platform to foster a vibrant community of like-minded individuals, to provide them with the resources and support they need to bring their visions to life, and to celebrate the incredible things that happen when we come together to create positive change.
ECS is an evolving organism, constantly adapting to the needs of our community. I want to be an active participant in this journey, contributing to the positive impact we create together.

The thought of a world where justice, freedom, security, and opportunity are the cornerstones of our society truly excites me. And I believe ECS has the potential to play a significant role in bringing this vision to life.
The Past, The Future, Time, Space, Miracles, Healing, Beauty, Hope, and Community. I think we covered it all. Ha!😉
