If you want to be the best you can be, don’t expect to get better if those around you are not on the same path as you. Stay to the winners and you will learn to be a winner as well. You can’t possibly become champ unless those around you are also raising the bar.
We will be stuck to the level of those around us. Sure, for a minute we will have some boost to our egos when we are definitely better than those around us, but this is superficial and will fade.
If we continue to practice with those whose skills are not on our level then our skills will actually diminish because we will not have to try as hard, or be as creative to be our best.
Winning does not equal being out best!
